Family’s Demands
Casey Goodson is a 23 year old man who was murdered by a US Marshals Task Force on December 4, 2020 in Columbus, OH. He was carrying a Subway sandwich, keys, and a mask. As he entered his home returning from a dentist appointment, police shot him 3 times in the back. The murderer, Jason Meade, was doing a fugitive search with the US Marshals Task Force. Casey was “not a target of the search” says Peter Tobin, The US Marshal for the Southern District of Ohio. There is no body camera footage of the shooting because the task force was not required to wear them.
We will not sit idly by and let police get away with murdering members of our community. Casey did not deserve to have his life taken by the same individuals who took an oath to “serve and protect” him.
